Each 'Venus' pan has fourteen feeding spaces, with an extended 425mm diameter ABS plastic canopy above the entrance to the feeding area, and a choice of settings to povide individual comfort and privicy for females at feeding time, which makes it almost impossible for mature cockerels to put their heads far enough inside to reach the feed.
The 330mm diameter polypropylene pan has the usual 'drop down' features for easy washing, and is interchangeable with most other SKA feeders.
The canopy is all in one piece, and has smooth sufaces that are easy to clean with a minimum of places for feed and dirt to be trapped.
The whole assembly is firmly supported from the conveyor tube by galvanized steel brackets to stop it being tipped one way or the other and to keep feed evenly distributed inside.
An important feature of the system is the ability to provide significantly more feeding space per metre than a chain feeder, with a reduction in the number of lines of feeders in all but the narrowest of buildings.
Like all pan feeders, the system is fully suspended and easy to lift up out of reach between feeds, freeing up floor area and giving the flock more space to occupy.
The conveyor parts are common to the very reliable and thoroughly proven SKA cockerel feeders with a capacity of more than twice as much as a broiler system, for delivery of feed to all pans virtually simultaneously.
