The SKA 'Mira' is one of very few automatic 'pan' feeders designed especially for feeding quails from day old.
The very low profile pan is only 45mm deep to give easy access, and is 355mm in diameter.
One feeder is enough for between 350 and 380 quails.
The centre cone shaped section leaves only a narrow circle of feed accessible, which is not wide enough for birds to enter.
The rim of the feed pan and the 'fins' on the centre cone combine to reduce feed wastage to an absolute minimum.
The pans are connected to the 45mm diameter galvanized steel tubes of the SKA centreless auger conveyor, which is common to all SKA 'pan' feeders, and each line is suspended in the same way as pan feeders for broilers, breeders, commercial layers or turkeys.
